FDA RALLY
If a drug is a approved today, how many people had to die waiting for the FDA to act? This may be the question Abigail Burroughs's father asked when his twenty-one year old daughter died of cancer. She had been denied access to two drugs in testing with the Food and Drug Administration. They were later approved.

Every year pharmaceutical companies produce lifesaving drugs. They test these drugs. Then the FDA gets involved. They provide rigorous, additional testing. Nothing wrong with that, right? Wrong. The FDA prevents patients, even those who are terminally ill, from accessing these drugs until they have been fully tested, which can take years. On September 18th join Bureaucrashers at the FDA rally (5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD)in fighting against death by regulation.

A Capitalist Carol Erin, the toxic chemical factories have NEVER produced a life saving DRUG. I beg you to read "World Without Cancer, The Story of Vitamin B-17" by G. Edward Griffin-- www.realityzone.com Mr. Griffin is also the author of the devastating 'The Creature from Jekyll Island, A Second Look at the Federal Reserve'. Bon Appetit, Geoffrey

Interesting, Mr. Allen, that Mr.Griffen is just that- Mr., and not Dr. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick with real science, not the junk of a socialist crackpot. Some people very close to me came very close to losing their lives several times, but the scientifically proven drugs with which they were infused successfully destroyed the malignant or (in one case) bacterial cells (the infection had become resistant; thanks to new research, however, his flesh eating disease was cured, despite being diagnosed at a very late stage with septicemia). " It [Cancer] is not caused by a bacterium, virus or mysterious toxin, but by the absence of a substance that modern man has removed from his diet." (realityzone.com). Actually, it's caused by a genetic mutation that usually deactivates the cell's ability to regulate its own growth. For instance, iirc, the "Philadelphia Chromosome," which appears when certain chromosomes exchange DNA, is responsible for CML, a form of leukemia. Of course, these evil organized medicine people came up with a scientifically proven way to deactivate the resultant protein (Gleevec, spelled Glivec in Europe I think; it's marketed by Novartis) and allow many patients to live longer and happier. "As the years rolled by, thousands became convinced that Krebs had finally found the complete control for all cancers, a conviction that even more people share today." (http://www.worldwithoutcancer.org.uk/ultimateconspiracy.html) All cancers? They aren't as related as you think. While malignancies share characteristics such as invasiveness, many have different genetic mutations expressed, thus making a "cure-all" highly unlikely, much in the same way that no antiviral will slow all viruses, and no antibiotic will kill all bacteria. Also, remember that this was stated in 1950. Lots of research has emerged since then; just because it vindicated a pharmaceutical company doesn't mean it's false. You see, we aren't closed to alternate medicine. We just need proof-genuine proof, with actual, peer-reviewed scientific evidence. Until then, if I get cancer, I think I'll stop by the oncologist's office and get real medicine. I know you're probably a troll, but having seen so many health issues in my family, and the good that medicine did, I felt obliged to respond. Allow me to conclude this by thanking the pharmaceutical companies and their brilliant researchers that have made my life such a better place :)

I wouldn't say all natural cures are the 'junk of some socialist crackpot' ... However it does seem to attract a lot of socialists. I practice holistic medicine, eat all organics, and am very 'green'- yet, I'm a.. libertarian?! While I don't support the drug companies and genetically modified foods, I will say that having some food and having some medicine (when applied properly) is better than not having anything at all (in some cases. I hate blanket statements so I feel obligated to add this in.) Anyways, just because someone who isn't a doctor wrote a book on medicine doesn't mean that it's full of crap. Anyone can research a topic and interview experts and then know about as much as they do - enough to be able to write a book about it and share the knowledge. Whether the Griffin guy did that or not, I don't know. I haven't read anything by him or that site. But still, every journalist is simply a 'temporary expert' ... or that's what we like to think - and colleges tend to say the same things. So, if we have the right to relay studies and things of that nature to the people, then any non-journalist could too. Why can't the government just stay out of our business? If the holistic companies and doctors can do their thing and the pharmaceutical companies and doctors can do their thing - then boom! Everyone is happy! A good read: http://www.lewrockwell.com/katz-j/katz-j23.html Keep in mind though, that it's just a logical argument. As is everything on lewrockwell.com. However, with a bit of research you can decide yourself if you want to believe it or not.
